GivingTuesday Is Back!

It’s official! City of Nanaimo Mayor Bill McKay declares Tuesday, December 1, 2015 as GivingTuesday! View the official proclamation here!

Imagine a day dedicated to giving back…around the world, across Canada and here in Nanaimo!

Just as Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season, GivingTuesday is the opening day of the giving season!

Join us and the United Way Central and Northern Vancouver Island and be a part of the movement that celebrates giving back! On December 1st, support a local cause and donate or volunteer with the charities that matter to you.

As a part of promoting the spirit of giving, we are providing an easy and convenient option for Nanaimo and area residents to donate to our campaign. From December 1st to 31st, 2015, we invite you to TEXT ‘COMMUNITY’ to 20222 on your mobile phone and donate $5, $10, $20 or even $25! All donations raised through this initiative will be divided equally between these GREAT non-profit organizations below!
