International Women’s Day Nanaimo (@iwdnanaimo) was created in 2017, founded by Courtenay Ndiaye and Anu Mayer. This is a volunteer organization that brings women together; once a year in the month of March to celebrate, empower, and inspire. The event is for women to enjoy a few hours with their girlfriends, sisters, mothers, daughters, and colleagues but most importantly – to have fun and show appreciation for one another.
“The Nanaimo Sisterhood Fund” was created in 2020. This is a dynamic fund to support and impact women and girls in our community.
Proceeds raised at events will be donated to local areas of impact and needs.
