“It is very easy to fall into a silo when you are trying to fund your organization day to day and this cohort experience allows you to break away from that constraint and think more along a long-term horizon.” – Robert Bateman Foundation
Thriving Non-Profits is a six-month cohort program for non-profit and charitable organizations looking to increase their long-term financial sustainability and deepen their impact by developing a range of strategies.
Thriving Non-Profits has been operating in Victoria for five years, helping organizations shift from scarcity to abundance, and from short-term projects to long-term outcomes. The Nanaimo Foundation, in partnership with Scale Collaborative, is pleased to bring the Thriving Non-Profits Program to Central Vancouver Island.
Participating organization team
Each participating organization will have a three-person team who will all take part in workshops and receive coaching tailored to your goals between workshop sessions. Ideally this team would be a board member, executive director and a senior staff person.
Thriving Non-Profits program includes:
- Six sessions in total:
- two full-day in-person sessions
- four half-day sessions: delivered online
- 10 hours of coaching support
- A completed financial diversification plan
- Presentation of your plan to the full cohort
You will leave with a financial diversification strategy and an implementation plan for your organization, linked to your organization’s mission, impact and scaling goals.
For more information about the program and how your organization can achieve greater impact and scale through financial diversification, view the Program Overview.
